Lee was called over to this property outside of Monmouth to consider the restoration of this 31′ x 22′ project. There was no access for heavy machinery, so the whole job had to be undertaken by hand, with the waste either being pumped (liquid) to a drying area further away on their farmland, or solids being wheel-barrowed to rot down into compost over time.
We added a large off-pond filtration system which was sited the other side of the hedge, which should help keep everything cleaner for the future. UVC’s and Hozelock pumping equipment creates the re-circulation. The existing plants were cut apart in-situe by hand-saw, trimmed, re-potted and returned.
We’re normally very good at photographic records on these projects, but only one exists of the pond in it’s drained state. Bizarrely, this beautiful location needs to be presented in it’s full, clean, tranquil state so for a change, here’s a beautiful gallery of pond pictures!
