Anti-slip painted decking
This deck is in a very wet area, next to the River Dyfi. Painted with Cuprinol’s anti-slip decking stain, the treatment offers a rich semi-transparent colour, embedded with invisible anti-slip microbeads, giving you a tough durable finish to walk across, safe in the knowledge that you won’t slip. Quite simply, it’s amazing!
Durable with anti-slip technology
With decking becoming the new outdoor living, people rightly have concerns over traction and slipping. Normal grove-side up deck boards can become slippery when either wet or un-maintained, which then makes the area unwelcome.
Cuprinol have re-launched their anti-slip pain in a range of colours and … it’s brilliant!
Tiny, invisible granules with the pain make the surface able to grip in all weathers. Our feature deck lives in North Wales on the side of a mountain and when regularly feeding these fish, in crocs, there is absolutely no slippage at all!

Bare-foot comfort
We use industry-standard dimension deck boards which are grooved one side, smooth the other. By laying boards smooth side up, they’re kinder to your bare feet and, when painted, can give you the illusion of a composite deck for softwood prices!
The Cuprinol Anti Slip Decking Stain offers a rich semi-transparent colour with a tough durable finish. It has a unique double action formulation which has invisible anti-slip microbeads to make decks safer than untreated wood and a fungicide to help protect the film surface from mould growth.

Careful construction and zero waste
Cost efficiency is not only key, but critical too in these modern times of price rises and emphasis on planetary resources.
All our timber comes from Fountain timber. It’s all great quality, structural and fit for purpose. we carefully design your deck to ensure that waste is virtually eliminated from the project. all construction is to industry-regulation, using the heaver-duty formulae of 150mm structural timbers set at 400mm centres, supported where necessary to stand the test of time. We paint all top surfaces of the support structure with Ducksback “Blackjack” paint to further protect and elongate the life of your investment.
All deck boards are individually screwed and, being industry standard pattern and dimension, are replaceable in the future should you ever damage one.
We ensure that all our constructions meet building and planning regulation for longevity and your piece of mind.
After deck servicing
So once your deck has been finished, that’s it, right?
Well, no, not really. Care of your deck (patio, lawn, pond) helps it to last longer and this can come in many forms. The most common form now, with modern materials, is to paint it. We use Cuprinol anti-slip deck paint in a variety of colours for this purpose.
We can return annually to ‘maintain’ your deck if you desire – generally through inspection, pressure washing, drying and an annual roller-coat of top-up paint – not unlike polishing the car?
