Commercial work
National liner site welding work
Expert lining Services across the UK.
Completing a project to store water – be it a storage lagoon, flood alleviation or farm requirement, requires specialist knowledge and skill. Turtle Productions has a large pool of CSCS trained, first-responder employees on-call to support your aquatic project – whatever its size.
Why EPDM?
There are a variety of materials available to the UK market for lining – plastic, LLDPE, HDPE, Bentonite, Butyl & EPDM. Plastic liners (plastic, LLDPE & HDPE) have a life of up to half (28 years) that of EPDM, whilst butyl will last 25 years +/- 5 years. Whilst EPDM is more expensive, it only needs installing once and should last well beyond 56 years of life. You ultimately save by not needing to re-engineer the site half-way through an EPDM liners’ life.
Elevate GeoGard EPDM membrane – has a workable life of up to 60 years. It is
- Fully UV stable
- Repairable should you damage it and
- will outlast the best HDPE liner by doubling its life.
A great investment where ownership of the project, for example farms, pass down through the generations.
With over 15 years in the industry, and seeing more the effects of cheaper membranes breaking down over time, which can cause micro plastics (POP’s) to enter water-courses. Turtle have chosen to only install EPDM rubber membranes. They are a natural product, entirely UV stable, have double the life span of plastic membranes and negate the risk of these pollution’s.
Why not see this life project which is now over 50 years old?
We only use the best materials
Zero waste efficiency
Cost efficiency is not only key, but critical too in these modern times of price rises and emphasis on planetary resources.
EPDM membranes are the most expensive on the market now, so waste is simply not an option. Therefore every quote, every site visit, every installation is meticulously worked out at the design stage to use the absolute minimum quantity of membrane in a variety of stock widths to ensure there is as little, to no waste as possible.
We pride ourselves that in 14 years joining liner on site, we’ve never ordered a skip! That’s less of your money wasted.
Repairable membrane
Lasting up to 60 years, EPDM membranes doesn’t break, but it can become damaged – either through adverse interaction with the liner, maintenance or wildlife damage, like bird strikes.
Unlike cheaper membranes, EPDM membranes can be fully repaired whether it’s a puncture or tear, and that work can be warranted too, if undertaken by a qualified engineer.
Using EPDM repair processes and products, we can quickly restore the liner to a fully sealed system to maintain your water storage integrity. This ultimately saves you cost, interruption and down-time or inconvenience.
Turtle Productions offer a UK-wide Inspection and Repair Service. We can inspect your installation, report and then repair, or immediately repair any EPDM membrane, extending its life and saving the inordinate cost of replacement. Why not get in touch?
Where required, we are happy to work either to you, an insurance company on your/their behalf or other interested parties as required. See our repair service for more information.
Aftercare
Once we have completed your project, we don’t stop there! We are always available by phone for whatever advice you might need as the new project beds in. Mark, our Managing Director, is regularly travelling the UK for work, so don’t be surprised for a call when passing – we love returning to see how the project is maturing, discuss any issues you may have, give some pointers and generally ensure the well-being of the project into its future.
We also offer Liner Inspection Visits, reports and a repair service to keep your liner in perfect condition.
Our commercial projects portfolio
Our extensive online Portfolio features dozens of projects from concept to completion too. Please visit our galleries, click through the image on the project and then see not only how the project was constructed, but also many re-visits we’ve undertaken.
