Our client had recently lost his wife and they both had a love of moorland walks, stopping for picnics alongside moorland wildlife ponds. We were therefore asked to pretty much dig up the front garden, turning it into a large moorland pond with a stream that ran down to a lower pond, in memoria. A large Greenseal / SealECO liner was used for this project.
Once the project was complete, with nominal wildlife pond-edge planting introduced, the clients’ aim was to never cut the grass again, allowing nature to claim the garden and wild the pond.
We returned a few years later to visit and see how everything was – the pictures show a wonderfully matured feature.
