We were asked to build a new, larger, raised koi pond for these lovely clients in the Malverns, Gloucestershire. His existing koi went on holiday in their own water to a large holding tank during the build. The old pond was removed and re-shaped before we installed the bottom drains and ring beam to build the walls from.
State of the art, automated filtration now keeps the water clean with four venturi return-feeds adding additional oxygenation after the filtration process. An on-demand, smartphone-controlled water-blade provides a gentle sound and attraction during the day whilst in-pond plant stands allow both the original plants to return plus client-chosen new plants to be added.
A thoroughly enjoyable build with great clients – we look forward to seeing the pond in a few years or under our annual maintenance programme.
