A new wildlife pond was decreed by this client, who was re-developing part of their large gardens, which is open to the Warwickshire NGS scheme. It should nestle within drifts of landscape planting.
Turtle were engaged for their Consultancy Service, providing telephone-support during the digging of the pond. Our services then increased and we were engaged to line the pond, working alongside the on-site groundsman (who undertook the machine work).
We used multiple sheets of Firestone EPDM Pondgard, cutting off excess and re-welding it where necessary to save waste and reduce costs. Once the pond was full, we returned to aquatically plant the pond, and install a blower-aerator pump.
We re-visited in 2024 to find a completely transformed garden. The garden is featured in the NGS scheme, and you can visit it by clicking through to their website here. The last few images and drone shot in this portfolio are from their website – the balloon was a ‘by coincidence’ lift, just as the pictures were taken!
