“We built a deck in Bristol for this client back in 2004 and, having stood the test of time, we were contacted again following a relocation to Herefordshire. Please see the first three pictures.
Our site visit found this lovely pond in a slightly exposed location, crying out for some love and landscaping. Our friends at B D Westby Groundworks came over with their specialist equipment to dredge the pond, create an alternative seating area plus designed future pathways through a to-be-planted Copse. We then built a cantilever deck over one end of the pond featuring a small jetty where you can sit and almost get your feet wet!
Due to the location of the deck, we painted it with Cuprinols anti-slip paint in ‘natural’ colour. Fluid design and flexible clients allowed this project to evolve through the build and we look forward to returning to establish a wildlife privacy hedge and autumn bulb planting with, hopefully, lots of new trees.”
