We won this contract at Taf Bargoed wetlends for Inscapes after our recommendation of upgrading the architect-design HDPE membrane to the better-flexibility, double-life, repairable EPDM membrane. Amazingly, our costs were only nominally more expensive than much-cheaper, other commercial quotes; we strive to bring value for money. Once the contract was won, it was clear that Inscapes had a lot of bit-and-pieces work here to do, so as site was within a commutable distance, we converted our working process to an on-demand service.
This worked very well for the main contractor on-site and, with great comms for forward planning, we were able to dovetail our lining into their work programme, accounting for any delays or re-designs.
Inevitably, with a project like this, there are going to be some mishaps and we were able to repair some machine damage to the liner where necessary – and guarantee that work.
All three ponds are now lined and complete, with the surrounding landscaping and groundworks nearly completed. Mark has this on his radar to re-visit in the years ahead to see just how beautiful this area becomes.
