This is the Reginald Farrar pond. It’s a grade II listed pond, now privately owned. 20 years in the making, the pond area is uncovered and listed planning consent is finally given for us to restore this pond to its former, 100-year-old glory. We can’t repair or ‘touch’ the cement structure, but we can use PVA’d sand to fill dimples and box-weld around listed features, like the step.
A carefully templated footprint has allowed our manufacturers, Gordon Low Products, to create the ultimate in bespoke box-welded liners for us to then fit. Cutting, adding, joining all undertaken using Firestone joining products on this epdm liner.
We do gain permission to re-waterproof the waterfall and a hard weeks’ work is undertaken with possibly the nicest hosting clients’ we’ve ever had the privilege of working for.
