Our clients had moved 8 years ago to Uley in Gloucestershire, gaining this pond which became overgrown and unloved. The client was unsure of their capabilities and, having seen one of our reviews, asked if we could help?
Whilst its bread-and-butter work to us, every pond is unique so we employed our usual due diligence and careful work in peeling everything apart, saving fish, frogs and newts in our storage tanks for the day. Waste greenery goes into compost whilst silt dresses flower beds or hedges – it’s a really potent nutrient fertiliser!
The footprint was protected with a geotextile membrane, and then our new Elevate (Firestone) 1mm Pondgard EPDM rubber life-time-warranty liner was installed.
We added a little water to settle the liner before the edging was re-cemented into place. The saved mature water, wildlife and aquatic plants were then returned.
