We were invited to give our opinion and solutions to this footprint of a pond, created when this new house was built in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Furthermore, the client expressed the shock of ‘London prices’ and, setting a really high budget, asked what we could do to, saving some money?
To be honest, we’re not used to those budgets for domestic ponds, so Lee & Tim went over to survey, get a feel for the setting and discuss ideas with the client. Design agreed, we nearly halved the London budget so the project was agreed and booked in.
Using our Firestone EPDM membrane (which is lifetime repairable), plants from Anglo Aquatics and expensive stone bought in, we spent a week creating this stunning pond for the client. We recycled some of the clients’ composite decking to vertically clad the pond walls to the deck, making a more attractive finish when looking back to the house.
An automatic-cleaning filter and Schaumsprudler fountain were installed to complete the project.
