We were asked by Maydencroft Ltd to line this ½ acre lake in Hinxworth, Hertfordshire. The original plan was to use site-won clay, however it soon became apparent that it was a thin vein, and we always recommend reverting to a belt-n-braces approach of EPDM liner as it can then be guaranteed. Ground-water drainage was an issue here, so we advised a land-drain be laid under the liner and the rest, as we completed this project in just three days.
