The clients hated this green square new property rear garden and wanted something which encompassed wood and the sea! Taking inspiration from an old Groundforce project years ago, we jointly designed this project over an extended visit with coffees! With a budget that didn’t meet the design, the client asked to be part of the build; whilst this saved money, it also gave her an integral involvement which was important.
We designed the garden to create a journey from the Conservatory, to a hidden hammock area on the lower deck. Low voltage garden lighting provided soft evening light whilst the use of boulders, mixed-size pebbles and some vertical timbers created a them around the decks, whilst leaving an area for the kids to still play.
The client was brilliant to work with and this has become one of our more memorable decks with that marmite effect? We love it! Who says decks have to be straight and square? All timber, as always, provided by our friends at Fountain Timber.
