In 2005, we were invited to this beautiful designer house on the outskirts of Clifton, Bristol, to see if we could not only complement the rear elevation of the house with decking, but also to see if we could do anything for the trampoline.
We settled on Ekki hardwood decking, which smells like chocolate when you cut it! We designed a hole which, once children had grown up, could be converted to a pond or flower bed. Very limited on ground height and the additional cost of removing a lot of paving, we settled on a slim structure over the paving, with normal carcass construction to the rest of the ground. Careful attention was paid to the lines of the deck in relation to the house and we think the final pictures speak for themselves.
The owners of this property have since moved to pastures new and we were pleased (excited!) to recognise the house and deck in the BBC series “Mistresses” filmed in 2008-10.
