We have always been fans of DIY SOS and liken their ethos to that of Scouting – do a good turn every day. Well, staff approached the M.D. asking if they could get involved in a local project at Avening, Gloucestershire, and 3 people for a week were granted time off to help. Such is the camaraderie and need on site that this soon turned into all the Turtles being up there for the full 9-day duration, helping, problem solving, fixing, labouring – you’ve seen the programme – it’s real!
And yes, we wouldn’t hesitate to help another in a heartbeat!
