We were contacted after this ‘village pond’ which served a housing estate in Cirencester had failed. The old butyl liner had suffered damage from wildlife, which then caused it to leak and then further damage from the weather as it was left exposed and dry.
We relined using our trusted puncture-proof geotextile membrane, and then our new Elevate (Firestone) 1mm Pondgard EPDM rubber life-time-warranty liner was installed. The edging stones were then sympathetically restored before we added 3 tonnes of edging cobbles, to protect the banks for future wildlife access.
Some aquatic plants were then returned before it was filled and settled in for its new life.
