We were asked to line this new-build attenuation pond for a farm development of buildings near Kendal in the Lake District.
We found a gap in the weather and working with the main builder, were able to quickly line this Firestone EPDM PondGard membrane project using all the tricks of the trade in our arsenal to complete the project before rainfall.
The builder helped with the usual sheet placement and then quickly got on with edging work as we lined, knowing a storm was due within the next 24 hours.
We got the job complete and doesn’t it look good? Just add water?
Well, following a re-visit in November and chatting with the owner, that’s exactly what happened that 24 hours later. This pond filled in one hit!
Now, it’s maturing nicely and both surround wildlife planting and in-pond plant beds are being added whilst the carp are already producing young.
