Following a recent storm, an insurance reline claim was made after a limb of a Monterey Pine snapped off and punctured this 24 x 8m pond.
Turtle Productions were called in to assess, produce a report and then repair. We were appointed by the client and worked directly with the insurance company.
The original liner was butyl and old, so the best, guaranteed way of repairing was to replace the liner, using an EPDM PondGard rubber membrane.
We engaged our friends from B.D.Westby Groundworks Ltd to undertake the sympathetic ground works needed for this project.
We cleared the site (including the fallen timber left behind by the tree surgeons) and relined this pond using low-impact machinery and, with a little turfing, no evidence that we’d ever been present once the project was complete.
