You are here: Multi-level decking
Split level living
Whether you have steeply sloping ground or an awkward site to try to make some sense of, multi-level decking may just be your answer.

Multi-level decking
Linking patio doors, bi-folds or rear exits from buildings to outdoor spaces can now be done with careful design and bespoke deck builds. Crafty storage spaces, making small spaces work or larger open plan outdoor living can all be created through the art of decking.
We use sustainably sourced, environmentally sensitive pressure treated timber in every construction from our partners of over 20 years – Fountain Timber. Every timber used is industry standard so should you ever damage anything, it can be replaced.
Please be aware that multi-level decks in this category may need planning permission – we can advise when we come to see you.
Careful construction and zero waste
Cost efficiency is not only key, but critical too in these modern times of price rises and emphasis on planetary resources.
All our timber comes from Fountain timber. It’s all great quality, structural and fit for purpose. we carefully design your deck to ensure that waste is virtually eliminated from the project. all construction is to industry-regulation, using the heaver-duty formulae of 150mm structural timbers set at 400mm centres, supported where necessary to stand the test of time. We paint all top surfaces of the support structure with Ducksback “Blackjack” paint to further protect and elongate the life of your investment.
All deck boards are individually screwed and, being industry standard pattern and dimension, are replaceable in the future should you ever damage one.
We ensure that all our constructions meet building and planning regulation for longevity and your piece of mind.
Scandinavian Redwood
We use Scandinavian Redwood deck boards for our projects, sustainably sourced by our friends and suppliers, Fountain timber. Meeting the latest environmental standards, their softwood timber is pressure-treated to meet the needs of our demanding weather and use.
Our 20+ years of trading between Turtle and Fountain has supported each bespoke project, using industry-standard dimension timbers coupled with a fast, efficient and friendly service.
Latest pressure treatment processes will ensure the timber lasts in excess of 10 years. We apply ‘black jack’ paint to all upper carcass surfaces to extend that life, and the subsequent painting of deck boards after installation can further extend the life of your deck.

Our extensive Portfolio is, we think, testament to the service we offer; extensive and, we hope, insightful. Below are a few examples of our work, why not go and explore?

Redland Renovated Garden
Our clients had recently completed the renovation of their house in Redland, Bristol, including a home office and it was now time to look at the garden. “We need some outdoor living / entertaining space” was the brief, which extended to levelling the lawn and …

Multi Level Deck Stroud
This was a very interesting project, completed over three phases. We were originally asked to design a deck that would link the new-build extension to the slope, offering as minimalist a leg structure as we could due to a lower room looking out through to …

Dursley Wrap Around Deck
New to this property in Dursley, we were charged with making a more sensible use of this unusually shaped garden in 2018. Separate sections of deck linked separate sections of house, and the garden was small and uninviting.
All our work meets regulation and if planning permission is required, we can assist you with this.
